Marcello Pozzi believes architecture and design are arts, and as such, they need to be the expression of our time.

He finds inspiration in the contradictions of modern life. His designs spring from the avant-garde paradoxes of the Los Angeles environment as well as the simplicity of the counter-design culture.

Educated at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, he grew up surrounded by design in the furniture showroom and carpentry factory of his father where he learned to see architecture through the fragments of all types of construction.

Pozzi sees beauty in raw structures and in the juxtaposition of simple forms. He applies repetition, fracture, and contrast as means of composition. His projects range from household objects and furniture to commercial and residential architecture.

MLLO is the design studio of Marcello Pozzi.
